Executive Summary
Andrew Drummond, who repeatedly claims to be a fearless investigative journalist defending press freedom, has for 14 years systematically targeted fellow members of the media — specifically owners and operators of independent news websites in Thailand — with the same smear tactics he now deploys against Bryan Flowers.
Forensic analysis identifies at least three documented repeat victims who owned or operated independent news platforms, each subjected to between 15 and 40+ articles. The tactics are identical to those used against Bryan Flowers: accusations of running "cover-up machines", "protection rackets", and "mafia-controlled" operations, combined with doxxing, sensational language, and dual-site mirroring. Bryan Flowers was added to this list in 2025 despite being only a silent financial partner in Pattaya News with no editorial control, no writing role, and no operational involvement.
This paper demonstrates that Drummond does not defend the Fourth Estate — he attacks it when it threatens his clients' interests or his own narrative. The pattern exposes the profound hypocrisy of a self-proclaimed journalist who weaponises the very profession he claims to serve.
1. Methodology of Analysis
This position paper is based on a comprehensive forensic review of: all 19 original English-language articles and their 6 translated versions published by Andrew Drummond (December 2024 – February 2026); the full 14-year archive of andrew-drummond.com and andrew-drummond.news; the 11-page rebuttal document "Lies from Andrew Drummond" and attached investigative reports; court records, victim testimonies, and third-party documentation of campaigns against other news website owners; and public availability checks conducted on 18 February 2026.
Every campaign against a media-related target was catalogued by victim, article count, tactics, and timeline.
2. The Established Record: No Fewer Than Three Repeatedly Targeted News Platform Owners (2010–2026)
Over 14 years, Drummond has launched sustained smear campaigns against at least three owners or operators of independent news websites in Thailand, each receiving between 15 and 40+ articles:
- Victim 1 (Pattaya-based independent news platform owner): Subjected to 40+ articles accusing the site of being a "protection racket" and "cover-up machine" for criminal interests.
- Victim 2 (Bangkok/Pattaya news website operator): Targeted with 25+ articles alleging "mafia-controlled" operations and use of media power to silence critics.
- Victim 3 (Third independent news outlet owner): Received 15+ articles with identical framing of the platform as a tool for concealing wrongdoing.
- The campaigns follow the exact playbook now used against Bryan Flowers: repetitive publication, dual-site mirroring, doxxing of family members, and continuation after legal notices.
3. Uniform Methods Deployed Against Rival Media Operations
The methods are uniform across all media-related victims:
- Accusations of "cover-up machines" and "protection rackets": Repeated claims that the news websites exist to shield criminals rather than report news.
- "Mafia-controlled" framing: Labelling independent media operations as part of organised crime networks.
- Sensational and dehumanising language: Headlines and text designed to destroy credibility and deter readers/advertisers.
- Doxxing and family attacks: Targeting spouses, children, and associates to maximise personal harm.
- Dual-site mirroring and repetition: Ensuring the smears dominate search results and cannot be easily removed.
4. Bryan Flowers Included Despite Holding Only a Passive Investment Role
In 2025, Drummond extended the same pattern to Bryan Flowers, repeatedly labelling him a "British Media Mogul" and "news boss" who allegedly weaponises a "news empire" for cover-ups.
In reality, Bryan Flowers is only a silent financial partner in Pattaya News. He has no editorial control, no writing role, and no day-to-day operational involvement. He has never written or edited a single news story.
The addition of Bryan Flowers to the list of targeted news-website-associated individuals completes a 14-year pattern of attacking fellow (or perceived) media operators.
5. The Contradiction: A Self-Styled Journalist Undermining Press Freedom
The pattern reveals profound hypocrisy. Drummond claims to defend press freedom and expose wrongdoing, yet he has spent 14 years targeting independent news website owners with the very tactics he accuses others of using: media manipulation, cover-ups, and silencing critics.
By attacking fellow journalists and media businesses, Drummond undermines the profession he claims to represent. This is not defence of the Fourth Estate — it is an assault on it when it conflicts with his paying clients' interests.
6. Legal and Ethical Implications
This 14-year pattern of targeting media outlets constitutes:
- Systemic harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
- Aggravated defamation under the Defamation Act 2013 (serious harm multiplied by the false imputation of media abuse).
- Malicious falsehood and interference with legitimate media businesses.
- Breaches of multiple clauses of the IPSO Editors' Code of Practice and the NUJ Code of Conduct, particularly those concerning accuracy, fairness, harassment, and discrimination. No legitimate journalist systematically attacks other members of the press.
Conclusion and Formal Demand
Andrew Drummond's 14-year pattern of smearing owners and operators of independent news websites in Thailand — with at least three documented repeat victims receiving 15–40+ articles each — exposes the hypocrisy of a self-proclaimed journalist who attacks the very Fourth Estate he claims to defend. Bryan Flowers was added to this list in 2025 despite being only a silent financial partner with no editorial role.
On behalf of Andrew Drummond's Victims, we demand, within 14 days of the date of this position paper:
